Twitter, LinkedIn & Facebook, OH MY!!

Have you considered using Social Media to find gainful employment, network and connect with like minded individuals but not sure how to do it? 

Are you involved in Social Media? Do you want to be? Has your employer asked you to run the Corporate “Social Media” (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook) sites? Are you feeling lost?

What to know, how to jump in, Michelle will take the fear and the often assumed “boredom” of being involved with Social Media and turn it into a fun, rewarding experience.

Learn the basics as well as simple tricks that you can use to make your Social Media time valuable and fun.  Social is where it’s at! Show your employers your Social Media savvy!!

About the Presenter:

Michelle started her career as a Legal Assistant after graduating from Grant MacEwan Community College in 1999.  After a brief stint working at a Law Firm in downtown Calgary, Michelle moved back to Edmonton, her home base and joined Shippers Supply Inc. as Executive Assistant to the President covering a one year mat leave in 2003.  Nearly 10 years later, Michelle is still employed by Shippers Supply and has a slightly different position.

As Corporate Events Coordinator / EA, Michelle is responsible for overseeing all the events hosted by Shippers Supply, including Tradeshows, Social Events and Sales Meetings as well as all the administrative duties for the executive team and managers.

Michelle got involved with IAAP, Edmonton Chapter in October 2011 after seeing a tweet and a facebook post about an upcoming Chapter Information event.  She became a member in December and by January was on the APD 2012 Event Committee as the Marketing Lead.  In February, Michelle joined the Board as Director at Large and became the Edmonton Chapter Web Master, introducing IAAP Edmonton to Social Media.  She is excited to continue her role as Web Master and Director at Large for the 2012/2013 Term.
